AEL Financial Services Limited began with a vision to bridge the gap in accessible, flexible financial solutions for small and medium-sized businesses and individuals in Tanzania. Recognizing the unmet demand for quick, adaptable credit options, our founder, who was working within a commercial bank, saw firsthand the challenges SMEs and professionals faced in securing funding. To meet these needs, AEL initially entered the market through insurance services in 2014, building a reputation for reliability. In 2016, we expanded into financial services by establishing AE’s Enterprises, offering microloans to SMEs and individuals. This expansion marked a new chapter, culminating in March 2020 when AEL Financial Services Limited was established under new microfinance regulations, fully licensed by the Bank of Tanzania and the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority. Today, we proudly stand as a trusted partner for financial empowerment in both credit and insurance.
